Judging by the headline of the article by civishir.hu one would think it was complaining about the rising number of migrants and the shortage of refugee camps. But no. It is simply about the capture of 3 Afghans (2 of them underage) with the help of heat camera. The migrants came from Romania and asked for asylum.
The article on Vagy.hu had the headline ‘Albanians in the Hungarian fog’ for about a day until they noticed the discrepancy in the nationalities of the migrants between the headline and the following story. Four underage Afghan migrants, ‘suspicious people’, were caught with the help of a heat camera in the thick fog. Check out the photo.
Dehir.hu also publishes the same news story with the complaining headline of ‘Again, the police caught Afghan border offenders’. Both articles use the term ‘illegal migrant.’
Local Debrecen media covers two, quite identical stories in several articles. In both cases three underage Afghan migrants were caught by the police, the only difference is the location and the time. All the 6 migrants were coming through Romania. The headlines of the articles are interesting, obviously the headline above by civishir.hu is the most outrageous. Other media published the stories with the headlines like
- ‘Three Afghans were wandering in Pocsaj’
- ‘They were behaving suspiciously so the border offenders were caught’
- ‘Three underage Afghans were caught by the border guards’
- ‘The police found illegal Afghan migrants in Pocsaj’
- ‘County police caught illegal border offenders again’.
Of course, as usual, you can see photos of policemen posing with the migrants in both cases, with photos originally from police.hu.
Police.hu publishes a proud article how an off-duty policeman manages to spot 6 Iranian migrants who crossed the border from Romania. The police also recorded this amazing capture: you can see a photo of two cops proudly posing with 2 small children and 4 other people who could be their parents and other family members. Congratulations Hungarian police! Check out the beautiful picture yourself!
Police. hu writes about how happy border guards at the Romanian border are with their new toys, two Land Rover trucks equipped with heat cameras. The cost of the two vehicles is over Ft 138 million but like the other 10 vehicles in operation these were also paid from EU funds. (You can see the big EU-fund logo in the article) Check out the photos of their new toys.
Haon.hu reports on how a border guard found ‘two people behaving suspiciously’ (in the article they used bold letters to emphasize this) in a corn field with the help of a heat camera. One of the Iranian men also had a fake Polish passport - he allegedly received it in Istanbul from a Romanian man. He was treated as a suspect for the preparation of forged document. Check out the heat camera pictures.
Beol.hu gives details about how first, 2 Iranians and 7 Iraqis, were caught at the Battonya train station and later another 2 Iraqi migrants were found at the bus station. They all asked for asylum.
Hajdú Online writes about how police caught 4 underage Afghan migrants while they were crossing on the dam of Berettyő river from the direction of Romania. It also publishes a heat camera picture of the migrants. Police.hu has an additional photo.
