A short summary of police actions on police.hu writes about how 2 Syrians and 11 Kosovars were caught travelling on a coach bus from Budapest to Vienna and also that 3 Kosovars and 2 Afghans were apprehended on trains going to Austria.
Police.hu gives a detailed description of the capture of 7 Kosovars and of the Hungarian couple from Debrecen who tried to smuggle them to Austria. They picked the migrants up in Röszke (Southern border) who paid 600 euros for the trip.
The police also caught 31 migrants (Syrians, Kosovars, Afghans and a Palestinian) on a train to Munich. They all had papers from the OIN in Debrecen and Szeged so they are migrants who had already been entered the Hungarian government’s asylum system.
Promenád.hu writes about how border guards caught 75 Kosovars, 7 Syrians, and 4 Afghans — 36 of whom were children. 2 men from Kosovo already had an entry ban against them, another two people were put into alien policing detention, and the others requested asylum.
Kisalföld.hu writes about the situation in Vámosszabadi ahead of the meeting between the locals and Sándor Pintér, the Minister of Interior. The article is based on an interview with the new mayor who believes they were elected is that they were campaigning against the camp. This is why they have to ‘fight for its closure’. She also complains that altogether 2500 refugees have been put up in the camp while the local population of the village is 1600. Right now, apparently there are 250 migrants in the camp even though the capacity is 210. Furthermore, she complains that most of the promises given by the Ministry were not fulfilled.
Győrplusz.hu writes about police actions on trains, which resulted in the capture of altogether 45 migrants. 32 of which were from Kosovo, 5 were Afghans, 2 from Syria, 3 Pakistanis and a Nigerian, a Malian and also a Montenegrin were also travelling on the train. Some of the migrants had been to Hungarian camps prior.
Police.hu reports on the capture of 11 Syrians, some of whom were children. They all asked for asylum. Police later also apprehended the two people who were presumably the smugglers.
A short article on Promenád.hu about the capture of the migrants, 35 of whom were children. All of them asked for asylum except for 2 persons who already had an entry ban.
A poorly written article by Hir24.hu regarding the record numbers of migrants caught close to Szeged and about their medical screening - including a new disinfection container. The police has only 24 hours to do a medical check-ups of the newly arrived migrants. People who suffer from infectious diseases are quarantined until they recover. This new medical centre now can screen ‘special diseases originated from Africa and Asia’. The migrant who has to enter the container will take a shower (while their clothes are destroyed). Apparently, there is a even a panic button inside. Also, everything is indestructible or ‘vandalism safe’. The ‘illegal migrant’ (sic!) after leaving the container will receive new and sanitised clothes. Promenád.hu published the story with pictures.
Police.hu writes about how 251 migrants were caught during the weekend. The article also gives details about the arrest of a Serbian smuggler (he was accompanying 4 Syrians) and of two Russian smugglers (they were driving 16 Syrians to the west). One of the smugglers ran away but he was caught later.
More article on Promenád.hu on the successes of the citizen guards. This time the ever-so-helpful citizen guards caught altogether 45 migrants, some of whom were looking for shelter at a local bus stop. Check to picture.
