Ottilia Solt did not accept the Minister’s empty answer, and said:
"Regarding the concrete answers, the Minister of Interior forgets what – not even a long time ago – has happened in this country. We remember very well those Hungarian citizens who were discreetly deported by the brotherly Austria – while the Hungarian authorities certainly received these Hungarian citizens, while their passports made them able to return to Hungary, and while they were not taken to prison immediately, just the III/III-unit (the Hungarian national security during the Communist times) jumped on those, who – according to a discreetly given information about them – asked for a permission to stay abroad but did not get it.”
(On 3 January 1992 Hungary deported 57 Chinese citizens to The People’s Republic of China. They all came to Hungary with valid passports and residence permits which later expired during their stay. According to some people who escorted them to China, the deported people were immediately surrounded by Chinese officials who ordered them at the airport to crouch in the cold.)
